Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) is delighted to invite you to the launch of the GIE Sector-Coupling Study Launch, titled Unlocking Energy System Efficiency: The Strategic Role of Hydrogen Infrastructure in Sector Coupling.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 14 April 2026, at The Hotel Brussels, in Brussels.
Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) is finalising its sector-coupling study together with the research institute Forschungsstelle für Energiewirtschaft and the consultants Consentec and ConGas. The study will analyse the value of holistic infrastructure development, considering the most efficient use of electricity, hydrogen and (in one of the scenarios) gas infrastructure.
This in-person event will present the results of the study and the interlinkages between infrastructure, considering the most efficient use of electricity, hydrogen and (in one of the scenarios) gas infrastructure. The second half of the event will look at the needs of energy producers and end-users.
