Recent gas market and European hydrogen market update

Unseasonably mild winter weather conditions and improving supply fundamentals kept gas markets at ease over the 2023/24 winter: Asian and European spot prices fell to pre-crisis levels in Q1 2024. Low-emission hydrogen project FIDs remain limited and largely insufficient to meet the ambitious targets set by governments by 2030. Over 95% of hydrogen projects remain tentative.
