Gas in Energy Transition: a special case for Europe?

Europe is a special case and if it meets targets, the role of gas(es) could be a model for other regions. Aside from renewables and efficiency, governments need to decide soon on options/policies which can be sufficiently advanced by 2030 to achieve 2050 targets. European governments (especially major gas markets: UK, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain) have the most aggressive commitment.
