This study was conducted by Rocky Mountain Institue and China hydrogen Alliance, it depict a blueprint that China to have 100GW renewable hydrogen capacity by 2030 which will lead to 7.7 mn ton green hydrogen production per annum. The study also specifies region-focus coordinated targets for major regions in China and indentifies North China and Northwest China to be leading renewable hydrogen production and deployments. Another accomplishment of this study is that it has an analysis of the scale of renewable hydrogen in different sectors in China, including chemical, steel and transportation sector. It also provides suggestions for next stage development.
