Many of these trading partners do not share the same attributes which make Australia ideally suited to hydrogen production, yet their reliance on hydrogen is likely to be significant given the extent of their decarbonisation ambition. This presents an opportunity for Australia to establish new hydrogen-based trade arrangements with these countries, addressing both our own emissions reduction targets and contributing to the decarbonisation of other country’s economies.
