The Middle East and North Africa region (MENA) stretches from Morocco in the far northwest of Africa to Iran in the Middle East. The core MENA states are reflected in Figure 1 (attached), but MENA can also be said to include other countries such as Sudan and Djibouti in Africa, as well as Turkey and Azerbaijan in the Caucasus.
