The plant consist of 300MW solar power generation, electricity transimission, 20,000 ton per annum hydrogen electrolysis, 210,000 Nm3hydrogen storage capacity and hydrogen pipeline. The green hydrogen will be transported to the nearby oil refinery facilities to replace grey hydrogen.

Kucha green hydrogen plant represents Sinopec’s hydrogen ambitions.

As the world largest oil refiner and petrochemical giant, Sinopec consumes 4.5 million ton hydrogen annually and it plan to progressively replace grey hydrogen across processes with green hydrogen.
