The HY4Link hydrogen corridor has secured PCI status from the European Commission, marking a major step toward a connected, cross-border hydrogen network in the Greater Region. By linking Luxembourg, France, Belgium and Germany, the HY4Link hydrogen corridor now gains EU funding support and accelerated permitting as it prepares to integrate into the European Hydrogen Backbone.

HY4Link, the joint initiative by Creos Luxembourg Hydrogen, Fluxys hydrogen and NaTran, has received Project of Common Interest status from the European Commission.

The PCI recognition marks a major milestone for the Greater Region, confirming the strategic importance of creating a cross-border hydrogen corridor linking Luxembourg, France, Belgium and Germany.

The project aims to connect regional industrial centres and mobility demand zones with future renewable and low-carbon hydrogen imports, ultimately integrating into the wider European Hydrogen Backbone.

As a PCI project, HY4Link now benefits from access to EU funding mechanisms, including the Connecting Europe Facility, and accelerated permitting procedures. Project partners underline that the corridor will strengthen cross-border cooperation and support the expansion of hydrogen infrastructure across Europe.
